Cloud Deployment Specialist

We are seeking an accomplished Cloud Operations Engineer with a strong Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) focus to ensure platform availability, reliability, and performance.

This critical role will involve running our production environment, responding to high-priority incidents, and driving continuous improvement in system reliability and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Platform Reliability & Availability (SRE Focus): Monitor system health for cloud-based platforms and improve reliability through automation and best practices.
• Measure and optimize system performance for efficient resource utilization and optimal user experience.
• Ensure services are available and monitor critical applications to guarantee system availability.

• Cloud Operations & Kubernetes Management:
• Design, deploy, and manage Kubernetes clusters and related cloud infrastructure for application deployments.
• Implement and maintain containerization strategies and orchestration best practices.
• Manage and troubleshoot Robin storage solutions within the Kubernetes environment.
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for cloud-native applications.
• Responsible for cloud resource provisioning, scaling, and cost optimization.

• Incident & Problem Management:
• Collaborate on high-priority incident tickets and ensure rapid system recovery.
• Lead Problem Management efforts, including Root Cause Analysis, for complex incidents.
• Identify bugs and work with development teams to implement fixes.

• Monitoring & Alerting:
• Implement and maintain robust monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions.
• Define and track Service Level Indicators and Service Level Objectives for critical services.

• Automation & Tooling:
• Develop and implement automation scripts and tools to streamline operational tasks and deployments.
• Evaluate and integrate new tools and technologies to enhance operational efficiency.

Technical Requirements:

• Deep expertise in Kubernetes:
• Cluster deployment, management, and troubleshooting for telecom workloads.
• Container orchestration, Pod lifecycle, Deployments, Services, Ingress.
• Helm charts, Kustomize.
• Advanced networking within Kubernetes (CNI, CoreDNS, service mesh concepts).
• Security best practices in Kubernetes.
• Proficiency in Cloud Platforms: Experience with at least one major cloud provider.
• Containerization Technologies: Docker, container.
• Robin Storage: Hands-on experience with Robin.io or similar distributed persistent storage solutions.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Terraform, Ansible, or similar tools.
• Scripting & Automation: Strong proficiency in Python, Go, Bash, or similar.
• Monitoring & Logging Tools: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Splunk, Datadog, or similar.
• CI/CD Tools: Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Argo CD, or similar.
• Operating Systems: Linux expert-level knowledge.
• Networking Fundamentals: Deep understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, Load Balancing, Firewalls, VPNs, and advanced network concepts relevant to telecom.
• Telecommunications Network Knowledge:
• Strong understanding of RAN architecture, components, and interfaces.
• Strong understanding of Core Network architecture, functions, and protocols.
• Familiarity with NFV and SDN principles.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 5-6 years of experience in a Cloud Engineering, DevOps, or SRE role, with a significant focus on Kubernetes and cloud operations.
