Land Acquisition Specialist

We are seeking a skilled professional to manage the land acquisition process for renewable energy projects. This challenging role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

About the Role:

This position involves identifying and acquiring suitable land parcels, considering technical feasibility, connectivity, and regulatory clearances. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading and managing the end-to-end land acquisition process, including scouting, negotiation, documentation, registration, and handover.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and acquire suitable land parcels for renewable energy projects, considering technical feasibility, connectivity, and regulatory clearances.
  • Manage the end-to-end land acquisition process, including scouting, negotiation, documentation, registration, and handover.
  • Build and maintain relationships with local landowners, agents, revenue officials, district-level authorities, and government departments.
  • Conduct title due diligence and ensure legal sanctity of land through coordination with legal teams.
  • Oversee RoW (Right of Way) acquisition, mutation, land conversion, and compliance with state-specific renewable energy policies.
  • Ensure clear documentation, including agreements to sale, lease deeds, power of attorney, and land maps.
  • Monitor local land price trends, zoning regulations, and state incentives to ensure cost-effective deals.
  • Supervise a field team of land officers, surveyors, and external consultants.
  • Handle conflict resolution and address any legal or community-related land acquisition issues.
