Job Title:

Senior Penetration Tester Specialist

Overview:

This role involves leading security assessments, identifying vulnerabilities, and collaborating with teams to develop secure digital environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive penetration testing engagements for web, mobile, APIs, cloud, and network environments.
  • Develop thorough test plans and reporting workflows to identify weaknesses and simulate real-world attacks.
  • Deliver actionable vulnerability reports with prioritized guidance on remediation efforts.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to fix identified vulnerabilities and improve overall cybersecurity posture.
  • Perform threat modeling and risk assessments on new systems and architectures to ensure robust security controls.
  • Mentor junior penetration testers and security analysts to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Stay updated on the latest threat vectors, exploits, and cybersecurity trends to maintain expertise.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 6+ years of experience in penetration testing, ethical hacking, and related security domains.
  • Strong knowledge of OWASP Top 10, MITRE ATT&CK, NIST standards, and CVSS scoring frameworks.
  • Proficiency in tools like Burp Suite, Metasploit, Nmap, Nessus, Wireshark, and Kali Linux.
  • Solid understanding of application security, network protocols, authentication mechanisms, and secure coding principles.
  • Experience in testing APIs (REST, SOAP), mobile apps (Android/iOS), and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell) and automation frameworks.
  • Strong report writing and documentation skills with attention to detail and clarity.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities to drive collaboration and results.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications such as OSCP, OSWE, GPEN, CEH (Practical), or equivalent advanced security credentials.
  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps integration for enhanced security and efficiency.
  • Experience working with bug bounty platforms and responsible disclosure processes to foster a culture of security.
