Key Role: AI Governance Specialist

This role focuses on the secure and responsible use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools. The ideal candidate will oversee the overall governance of AI applications, ensuring they are used effectively and efficiently within the organization.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Configure and manage data privacy controls to prevent sensitive information from being misused in AI model training and enforce zero-retention policies.
  • Deliver comprehensive audit logs, compliance reporting, and monitoring for AI usage to ensure adherence to regulatory standards.
  • Implement robust guardrails and moderation tools, including fine-tuned safety layers, to enhance the security and reliability of AI applications.
  • Track and analyze model performance and usage metrics, producing regular reports for leadership to inform strategic decisions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to API calls, latency, and integration failures to ensure seamless operation of AI tools.
  • Maintain an internal admin guide with setup/configuration steps, governance rules, and best practices for AI tool management.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge bases and wikis for developers and end users to facilitate knowledge sharing and skill development.
  • Deliver training sessions for IT staff to expand their expertise in managing OpenAI tools and ensure comprehensive admin coverage.
  • Serve as the Tier 3 escalation point for AI-related incidents, providing expert-level support and resolution.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • 5-8 years of experience in AI applications engineering or a related role.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in AI tools, particularly Google Gemini, OpenAI, and Anthropic.
  • Strong understanding of data privacy controls and compliance requirements.
  • Experience in configuring and managing AI tool environments securely and effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to handle complex technical issues.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience delivering training and creating documentation.
