Job Title: Database Administrator

We are seeking a highly skilled database administrator to ensure the integrity, performance and security of enterprise databases.

This role demands strong expertise in database design, performance tuning, backup and recovery, and cloud database services.

  • Administer, maintain and secure company databases.
  • Monitor and optimize database performance using tuning and disk optimization techniques.
  • Implement data models, database designs and maintenance scripts.
  • Resolve database performance, capacity and replication issues.
  • Plan and coordinate data migrations between systems.
  • Manage database backups, recovery procedures and disaster recovery plans.
  • Install and test upgrades, patches and maintain database security.
  • Automate database processes using scripts (PowerShell/Python/Bash).
  • Support data warehousing and business intelligence initiatives.
  • Manage databases in cloud environments (AWS RDS, Azure SQL, Google Cloud SQL).

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in database administration, IT or database architecture.
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL or MongoDB.
  • Expertise in SQL, query optimization, backup and recovery strategies.
  • Experience in performance monitoring, tuning, replication and high-availability solutions.
  • Proficiency in scripting (PowerShell, Python or Bash).
  • Knowledge of disaster recovery, database security and user management.
  • Familiarity with data warehousing, BI tools and cloud-based database services.
