Expert Kubernetes Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Kubernetes Engineer to join our team.

About the Role:

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing, deploying, and maintaining robust, scalable, and secure Kubernetes platforms. They will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that applications and systems are reliable, secure, and meet business requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop a Kubernetes platform that supports the deployment, scaling, and management of containerized applications.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts, tools, and documentation to streamline deployment and management processes.
  • Monitor system metrics, troubleshoot issues, and optimize resources to ensure platform stability and performance.
  • Implement observability solutions, such as monitoring, logging, and tracing tools, to gain valuable insights into platform performance and application behavior.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to development teams, helping them adopt the Kubernetes platform and improve their application deployment and management capabilities.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • At least 7+ years of experience in OpenShift Engineering, including some public cloud experience.
  • Experience in platform engineering, infrastructure automation, SRE, or a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of Kubernetes architecture, concepts, and components, with hands-on experience in building and managing Kubernetes platforms in production environments.
  • Proficiency in a procedural or scripting programming language (e.g., Python, Go).
  • Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery principles (e.g., GitHub Actions, Concourse, ArgoCD, Jenkins).

Benefits:

  • TAS (Tanzu Application Service), Pivotal Cloud Foundry, AKS, NSX, NSX-T experience is a plus.
  • Automation/Continuous Integration experience with tools like Concourse, Salt, Fabric, Jenkins, Octopus Deploy, etc.
  • Demonstrated competency in a programming/scripting Language, with a strong preference for Go experience and Python.
  • Experience designing and implementing Infrastructure as code API's using interface definition tools like Swagger.
