Port Development Project Lead: Marine Infrastructure Specialist

Sr. Structural Engineer sought for high-profile port development project. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the growth of Kerala's maritime infrastructure.
This role involves leading structural engineering for port projects, including design, analysis, and execution of key structural components such as breakwaters, jetties, quays, docks, and seawalls. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in project management consultancy (PMC) for large-scale port projects.
The selected candidate will be responsible for providing technical leadership and oversight for the execution of port infrastructure projects. Key responsibilities include:
- Leading structural engineering teams to ensure compliance with quality standards, budget constraints, and project timelines;
- Collaborating with contractors, consultants, government agencies, and other engineers to integrate structural designs into overall project plans;
- Overseeing risk mitigation strategies and safety measures to ensure regulatory compliance and environmental sustainability;
- Supervising construction activities on-site, ensuring high-quality standards for structural integrity and sustainability;
- Implementing advanced structural engineering principles to optimize designs for cost-effectiveness, resilience, and environmental sustainability;
- Preparing progress reports, design reviews, and technical documentation for stakeholders.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in structural engineering with a focus on marine and port infrastructure, including PMC experience;
- Post Graduate degree in Structural Engineering specializing in marine structures or coastal engineering;
- Proven experience in project management of large-scale port projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and team management;
- Proficiency in structural engineering software such as STAAD Pro, ETABS, SAP2000, SAFE, and other tools for design and analysis;
- Strong understanding of marine structures and their response to wave forces, tide variations, sediment movement, and marine environmental conditions;
- Ability to lead and manage teams, collaborate with multiple stakeholders, and ensure project milestones are met;
- Expertise in contract management, procurement, and ensuring compliance with local regulations and environmental standards;
- Excellent communication skills to present design concepts and project progress to stakeholders.
