Strategic Fundraising Director Role

This is a highly impactful leadership position that plays a pivotal role in shaping the fundraising strategy for our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy to engage with corporate partners, high-net-worth individuals, and foundations, while fostering long-term sustainable relationships.
  • Conduct thorough research to understand the philanthropic interests and priorities of target funder groups, and align them with relevant fundraising opportunities.
  • Stay abreast of market trends and analyze data to identify potential avenues for fund-raising initiatives.
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to ensure a deep understanding of strategic priorities and co-create project ideas for fundraising across various projects.
  • Maintain a robust pipeline of prospective funders and corporate partners.
  • Proactively establish and nurture strategic relationships with target funder groups, developing tailored fundraising strategies and materials in collaboration with the marketing team.
  • Participate in networking events and industry forums to position our organization, build institutional knowledge, and leverage industry trends for partnership opportunities.
  • Track commitments, manage deadlines, and work with project leads to prepare reports.
  • Ensure all engagements with partners and donations are legally compliant and adhere to codes of practice through effective due diligence.
  • Exceed set targets for annual fundraising with the support of the team.
