Job Title: System Study Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking experienced Electrical Engineers to undertake engineering design roles for projects in the Transmission and Distribution sector.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct simulations and analytical studies for transmission and distribution, planning, load and generation interconnection, integration of renewables.
  • Prepare simulation study models and carry out power system studies including but not limited to:
    • Grid compliance studies for Wind, Solar, BESS and Hybrid projects.
    • Steady state and Dynamic power flow analysis.
    • Fault Ride Through studies.
    • Short circuit calculation.
    • Power quality analysis.
    • Electro Magnetic Transient Analysis (EMTP) such as Switching and Lightning transient studies, Energization studies etc.
    • Dynamic simulation of networks involving HVDC, FACTS and inverter based generation.
  • Candidate should be able to carry out following protection calculation:
    • Overcurrent and earth fault protection co-ordination for the transmission and distribution network.
    • Unit protection calculation for Transformer, motor, busbar, generator etc.
  • Analyse study results and recommend solutions as per requirements and able to discuss / clarify with clients.
  • Prepare study reports and other technical documentation.
  • Respond to request for proposals by preparing proposals & estimation of man-hours.
Requirements:
  • Masters / Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering with 5-8 years of relevant industrial experience.
  • Experience in system study softwares such as ETAP, DIgSILENT, PSCAD, etc.
Desirable Requirements:
  • Knowledge of PSSE, MATLAB / Simulink and any other system study software.
  • Competency in Python coding.
  • Experience of working on Traction simulation studies.
