Electrical Systems Engineer

We are seeking a skilled engineer to assist with the design and analysis of complex electrical systems. This role requires an individual with strong analytical and technical skills who can apply their engineering knowledge to various assignments, from system modeling to project coordination.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop power systems models using industry-standard software such as ETAP, SKM, Easypower, or similar tools for electrical system analysis.
  • Contribute to the development of protective relay settings, coordination studies, and relay logics for microprocessor-based relays in protective relay systems.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to coordinate project design assignments and develop engineering cost estimates, schedules, and scope of work in project & design coordination.
  • Create key electrical deliverables including one-line diagrams, schematics, and equipment layouts, and develop reports and recommendations based on study results in documentation & reporting.
  • Assist the Lead Engineer in meetings and correspondence with clients and collaborate with other engineers and designers to produce detailed electrical engineering deliverables in collaboration.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited program.
  • Experience working on power systems studies for industrial or renewable facilities (e.g., petrochemical plants, solar, wind, or BESS) is preferred.
  • Technical skills include experience with SKM Power Tools, ETAP, CDEGS, or similar software and a good understanding of electrical deliverables and design documents.
  • International codes and standards such as ANSI/NEMA, NFPA, NERC, IEEE, or CSA should be followed.
  • Personal attributes include strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, and a quick-learning mindset.
