Job Description

We are seeking a skilled professional to fill the position of Cloud Engineer. The ideal candidate will have expertise in cloud-based technologies, including public cloud services, infrastructure as code tools, and containerization.

The successful candidate will lead transformation projects, migrating on-prem workloads to public cloud solutions, and have hands-on experience with Terraform and Ansible. They will also be responsible for managing pipelines using Jenkins and implementing GITOPS-driven configuration management and deployment.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Expertise in cloud-based technologies, including public cloud services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
  • Proficiency in infrastructure as code tools (Terraform, Ansible)
  • Hands-on experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Experience with pipeline management (Jenkins)
  • Knowledge of GITOPS-driven configuration management and deployment
  • Strong understanding of cloud connectivity, SDWAN, and private connectivity
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation)

  1. A bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field is required.
  2. Red Hat Certified Architect or equivalent certification is an asset.
  3. At least 3 years of experience at a relevant technical position in large organizations.
  4. Must have led 1 transformation project migration on on-prem workloads to a public cloud solution.
  5. Must be an expert in Terraform and Ansible and have hands-on experience in migrating applications to the cloud.
  6. Must have experience in managing pipelines using Jenkins.
  7. GITOPS-driven configuration management and deployment.
  8. Must have expert knowledge in comparing services across public clouds.
  9. Must understand cloud adoption models for major cloud services CPU architectures, storage, and network connectivity.
  10. Knowledge of Windows internals.
  11. Depth knowledge of public cloud technologies.
  12. Knowledge about API communications (REST/Soap), developing a new consumer/publisher for any API.
  13. Conceptual understanding of infrastructure and how it works.
  14. DNS (authoritative and non-authoritative DNS, dynamic and bind DNS, forwarder).
  15. SSL Communication (handshake of SSL traffic, cipher suites, enc algorithms).
  16. Active Directory (security OUs, policies).
  17. Certificates (SAN, client-authentication, keystores, mutual SSL).
  18. Load balancers/site selectors/firewall.
  19. Vault Tools (CyberArk/Hashicorp).
  20. High Availability.
  21. Excellent scripting skills in Groovy, Bash/PowerShell, Python.
  22. Agile methodologies and its ceremonies.
  23. Strategic thinking with research and development mindset.
  24. Adequate understanding of project management methodologies.
  25. Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation).
