Job Title: Surface Design Specialist


Overview:

As a Surface Design Specialist, you will be responsible for creating high-quality surface designs for Class A automotive projects. You will work closely with engineers to develop feasibility studies and incorporate feedback into your designs.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop surface designs from concept to production using Sketch or Scan data.
  • Produce and supply production-level data sets for Class A surface development.
  • Create quality interior and/or exterior surface data utilizing the Alias tool.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely project delivery.
  • Design Project Leadership by utilizing the Advance tool for client project requirements.


Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Alias Surfacing expertise.
  • Class A Surface experience.
  • Automotive Design Studio experience.
  • Deep understanding of Theoretical Intersections, Curve relationships, Smoothing, and G3 -Curvature Continuous Curves.
  • Thorough knowledge of Highlights, Curve Analysis, Draft, and min Radius Tools.
  • Experience with GSD, FSS, IDX workbenches.
  • Strong understanding of Fit & Finish, Gaps, and Flushness.

Employment Type:
