Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Surface Development Professional to join our team. As a key member of our design studio, you will be responsible for creating high-quality surface data using Alias Surfacing tools. Your primary focus will be on Class A Surface Development from concept to production, working with Sketch or Scan data to produce and supply production-level data sets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Class A Surface Development from Concept to Production working with Sketch or Scan data
  • Produce and supply production-level data sets
  • Create quality Interior and/or Exterior Surface Data utilizing the Alias tool.
  • Works together with Engineers to incorporate high-level feasibility for Class A final tooling data.
  • Collaborates with many cross-functional teams and support as needed


Required Skills and Qualifications:

A successful candidate will have extensive experience in:
  • Alias Surfacing
  • Class A Surface experience
  • Automotive Design Studio Experience
  • Deep understanding of Theoretical Intersections, Curve relationships, Smoothing, & G3 -Curvature Continuous Curves.
  • Thorough knowledge in Highlights, Curve Analysis, Draft, & min Radius Tools.
  • Experience with GSD, FSS, IDX work benches
  • Hold a deep understanding of Fit & Finish, Gaps, & Flushness.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment adapts quickly to changes, and is flexible with tight schedules
