Job Title: Senior Programme Manager

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Programme Manager to drive strategic planning, technical leadership and programme management for our nutrition portfolio.

This is a key role within our organisation, responsible for leading complex programmes and initiatives from inception to closure. The successful candidate will have a strong background in public health nutrition and programme development, with experience in reviewing and updating strategies, conducting landscape and situation analysis, and identifying potential needs.

The ideal candidate will be a thought leader in nutrition-specific and nutrition-sensitive programme and research development, with the ability to formulate problem statements and apply best practices in programme design and management.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategy Development: Contribute to reviewing and updating strategy; conduct landscape and situation analysis, need gap assessment of nutrition, health and inter-related domains; identify potential needs;
  • Technical Leadership: Provide thought leadership on nutrition-specific and nutrition-sensitive programme and research development; formulate problem statements from time to time; adopt best practices and apply them in programme design and management;
  • Programme Management: Manage independently different complex programs and initiatives; end-to-end responsibility from onboarding grants, management and closure; ensure timely reports and fund disbursals;
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A PhD, Master's or PG Diploma in Public Health Nutrition, Community Health, Global Health, Public Health, Food and Nutrition policies and programs, Public Policy, Development Studies, and related disciplines;
  • At least 15 years of experience in public health nutrition, food and related program development, research and policy;
  • Prior experience in philanthropy and grant making will be an asset;
  • Experience in research and program evaluation will be essential;
