Category Manager

We are seeking an experienced Category Manager to oversee the development and execution of category strategies.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in category management, marketing, and sales principles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze data and insights to determine industry and consumer trends.
- Develop long-term development strategies for product categories.
- Create exit strategies for unsuccessful products.
- Foster strong relationships with vendors to negotiate better pricing and services.
- Prioritize orders to ensure product availability meets consumer demands.
- Determine the positioning of a product category to maximize visibility.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to set competitive pricing and promotional activities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree from a reputable university.
- At least 6 years of experience in category management.
- Strong knowledge of category management, marketing, and sales principles.
- Ability to analyze and develop accurate conclusions to support category decisions.
- Understanding of market and consumer trends.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical mind with strategic ability.
- Proficient in MS Office.
