Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Specialist to join our team. As a Technical Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting the development, integration, and maintenance of engineering technologies.

You will be responsible for applying engineering principles and IT systems knowledge to design, develop, and optimize systems that integrate engineering technologies with IT infrastructure.

  • Engineering & IT Integration:
  • Apply engineering principles to design, develop, and optimize systems that integrate engineering technologies with IT infrastructure.
  • Support the implementation of IT solutions that meet the requirements of engineering projects and align with overall business objectives.
  • Collaborate with engineering and IT teams to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance of engineering systems and tools.
  • Technical Support & Troubleshooting:
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for engineering systems, software, and hardware.
  • Analyze and resolve complex issues related to engineering IT systems, ensuring minimal disruption to project timelines.
  • Work closely with engineering teams to diagnose problems, conduct root cause analysis, and implement solutions.
  • System Configuration & Maintenance:
  • Configure, test, and maintain engineering systems, hardware, and software tools.
  • Perform regular maintenance and updates to ensure systems are functioning efficiently and securely.
  • Manage system backups, software updates, and hardware configurations as part of system upkeep.
  • Project Management & Collaboration:
  • Assist in the planning and execution of engineering projects, ensuring the integration of IT systems meets all technical and operational requirements.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other departments to ensure project milestones and deadlines are met.
  • Contribute to the development of project documentation, including system specifications, manuals, and technical reports.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting:
  • Support the collection, analysis, and reporting of engineering data related to system performance, efficiency, and optimization.
  • Develop and maintain documentation to track system configurations, software changes, and troubleshooting steps.
  • Prepare regular reports for senior management on system performance and areas for improvement.
  • Process Improvement & Optimization:
  • Identify areas for improvement within engineering IT systems and processes, proposing solutions to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Assist in the design and implementation of new technologies, methodologies, or workflows that enhance engineering operations.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in engineering technology and IT solutions to recommend innovative approaches.
