Senior Manager Role Overview

The Senior Manager is responsible for leading a team of Group Operations specialists to process new business and end-to-end policy servicing for group business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with Sales and Actuarial teams to ensure closure of individual Group processes
  • Ensure the issuance of policies and resolution of customer and intermediary queries in an efficient manner
  • Provide exceptional customer service by ensuring that established procedures are followed consistently and contribute to improvements whenever possible
  • Implement and maintain agreed quality and quantity controls, which aid proactive management and anticipation of problems
  • Supervise and train an effective team to meet business needs as they grow over time
  • Coordinate with finance for reconciliation of policy account balances
  • Lead transformation and digitization of group business

Required Qualifications & Experience:

A minimum of 8-10 years' experience gained in customer services or operations departments, preferably in the financial services industry. An MBA/ACII qualification is highly desirable, along with Associate of Insurance Institute certification.

Desirable Skills/Knowledge:

  • Good experience of operations in the financial services industry
  • Experience within the Group Operation department of an insurance company
  • Experience in data processing to deliver operational efficiency
  • Computer skills in using databases and office management software including word processors and spreadsheets
  • Strong leadership, team building, and influencing skills
