About the Position:This is a high-profile opportunity to lead our credit risk management and underwriting functions.The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping our credit strategy, policies, and processes aligned with business objectives.Key Responsibilities:
  • Create and implement effective credit frameworks for SME/MSME lending and supply chain financing.
  • Oversee the credit appraisal and underwriting process, including borrower risk assessment and financial due diligence.
  • Monitor portfolio quality and develop early warning mechanisms to mitigate potential risks.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to balance growth aspirations with prudent credit practices.
  • Present credit proposals and portfolio performance updates to senior stakeholders as required.
  • Develop and mentor a high-performing credit team capable of handling large-scale operations.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory developments, and market shifts impacting SME/MSME lending.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 8–15 years of experience in credit risk/underwriting, preferably within NBFCs, fintechs, or banks with significant SME/MSME exposure.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain finance, bill discounting, invoice financing, and related credit products.
  • Proven ability to establish credit frameworks from scratch and manage substantial loan books with high quality.
  • In-depth knowledge of regulatory norms, compliance requirements, and RBI guidelines for NBFCs.
  • Excellent leadership, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • CA/MBA/FRM or equivalent qualification preferred.
