Civil 3D Site Utility Modeler Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Civil 3D Site Utility Modeler to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of professional experience in civil engineering, with a strong focus on both dry and wet utility modeling using Autodesk Civil 3D for BIM.

This role involves modeling utility systems for all infrastructure and commercial projects, ensuring accurate and efficient project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop high-quality Civil 3D drawings (e.g. site layout, grading, drainage, utility plans & profiles, earthwork, etc.)
  • Understand client requirements and ensure deliverables meet their expectations
  • Conduct quality assurance checks on 3D models and shop drawings
  • Maintain excellent knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, and Civil 3D software
  • Utilize Navisworks for clash resolving purposes
  • Demonstrate strong understanding of utility systems (water, sewer, stormwater, gas, electric, telecom) and their integration within infrastructure projects
  • Update RFI's using Revizto/BIM 360, ACC, and maintain proper documentation as per client requirements

Secondary Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret plans and specifications
  • Coordinate changes in scope of work
  • Maintain accurate records
  • Coordinate with other team members
  • Share knowledge and mentor juniors/colleagues
