We are seeking a skilled Linux software repository expert to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing and maintaining software repositories, ensuring their integrity and accuracy.

This is a full-time contract job that requires the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Managing and updating software repositories

Ensuring the accuracy and integrity of software dependencies

Patching and creating software patches

Compiling and building software from source code

Monitoring and staying current with CVEs

Maintaining changelogs and documentation

Providing bug fixes and debugging support

Reviewing changes and connecting with upstream developers as needed

The successful candidate will have strong technical skills in Linux, bash scripting, C, and Python, as well as experience with build system tools like autotools, meson, ninja, cmake, make, pkg-config, scons, and CVS/Git.

The ideal candidate will also possess good troubleshooting skills, be fluent in English, and have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

We prioritize candidates with knowledge of Slackware Linux, but consideration will be given to those with expertise in other distributions.
