Mainframe Development Role

This is a challenging role for an experienced Mainframe Developer in the Insurance Sector.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality code primarily in COBOL, PL/1, JCL, and DB2 environments.
  • Apply a systematic approach to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical issues within mainframe applications.
  • Effectively utilize development tools and methods to ensure efficient delivery.
  • Leverage knowledge of the Insurance domain to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Participate actively in Agile methodologies to deliver projects iteratively and collaboratively.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in Mainframe development.
  • Strong coding skills in COBOL.
  • Proficiency in PL/1 programming language.
  • Expertise in JCL and its implementation.
  • Familiarity with DB2 databases and their management.
  • Domain Knowledge: Good understanding and knowledge of the Insurance domain.
  • Methodologies: Experience with Agile development methodologies.
  • Problem-Solving: Demonstrated analytical approach to problem-solving.
  • Tools & Applications: Ability to use effective methods and tools.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Learning Agility: Willingness to learn and upgrade skills continuously.
