This is a high-profile opportunity for an experienced data engineer to join our team and take on the challenge of designing and implementing scalable systems that can handle petabyte-scale data.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect and build lakehouse architectures using Apache Iceberg and Delta Lake to unify data lakes and warehouses, ensuring seamless data integration across multiple platforms.
- Develop and optimize streaming pipelines using Kafka, Pulsar, and Flink to process structured and unstructured data with low latency, leveraging real-time insights to drive business growth.
- Leverage Java to build scalable, high-throughput data applications and services that can handle massive volumes of data, providing fast and reliable data processing capabilities.
- Work with modern data warehouses and query engines such as Trino and Spark for sub-second operation and analytics on real-time data, unlocking new levels of business intelligence.
- Manage diverse data workloads across RDBMS (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server) and NoSQL (Cassandra, MongoDB) systems, ensuring optimal performance and scalability in complex data environments.
- Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance across multi-tenant systems, protecting sensitive data and maintaining regulatory standards.
Requirements:
- 8+ years of experience in data engineering with large-scale systems, with a proven track record of success in designing and implementing scalable data solutions.
- Expert proficiency in Java for data-intensive applications, with in-depth knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
- Hands-on experience with lakehouse architectures, stream processing, and event streaming, with a strong understanding of data flow and pipeline optimization.
- Strong SQL skills and familiarity with RDBMS/NoSQL databases, with expertise in database design and optimization.
