Payroll Specialist Role

This position involves key responsibilities such as processing payroll accurately and on time for all employees. Maintaining payroll records and employee data in HRIS/payroll systems is also a crucial part of the job.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process payroll accurately and on time for all employees (monthly, bi-weekly, etc.).
  • Maintain payroll records and employee data in HRIS/payroll systems.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, tax regulations, and internal policies.
  • Coordinate with HR for employee onboarding/offboarding, promotions, and other payroll-impacting changes.
  • Handle payroll deductions, benefits, garnishments, bonuses, and other compensation-related components.
  • Prepare payroll reports for internal use and external audits.
  • Respond to employee inquiries related to payroll, taxes, and earnings.
  • Collaborate with Finance to reconcile payroll-related accounts.
  • Assist with year-end activities such as tax form distribution (e.g., W-2).

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of payroll processing experience (or as specified).
  • Strong knowledge of payroll software and HRIS systems.
  • Familiarity with local labor laws and payroll compliance regulations.
  • High attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
