Senior Mine Planning Expert - Coal Operations

Vedanta's Aluminium Business is aiming to become a fully integrated, global leader in aluminium production. The Bauxite and Coal mines vertical will play a crucial role in this endeavour.

The Senior Mine Planning Expert - Coal Mines role is critical for commencing new mines to achieve the vision. Key responsibilities include:

  • Resource Modelling, Pit Optimisation, Scheduling.
  • DPR preparation for the mining blocks.
  • Preparation of Mining Plan (Statutory and operational).
  • Conducting various scoping studies, coordinating and undertaking feasibility studies, HEMM requirements.
  • Undertaking exploration programmes including in-fill drilling to capture desired quality and quantity from the mine.
  • Liaising with statutory bodies for clearances and approvals.
  • Providing necessary data inputs required for obtaining Forest and Environmental Clearance.

Candidate Profile:

  • A degree in Mining Engineering with 10+ years of experience in similar roles.
  • Strong knowledge and exposure to project planning & tracking tools like MS Project, Primavera, MS Office, Auto-CAD, documentation management.
  • Demonstrated leadership in mining approvals, commencement and mining operations.
  • Strong understanding of statutory clearances and relevant Acts, regulations & Government guidelines.
