Job Title: Marathi Language Specialist - Software Localization

At Welocalize, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Localization Specialist for our Marathi language team.

As a Localization Specialist, you will be responsible for translating, reviewing, and proofreading various types of content, including UI application strings for mobile apps, website content, FAQs, and Help center content. You will also be responsible for creating, adapting, and maintaining a Language-specific style guide, as well as performing live LQA (Localization QA) testing of the application UI strings and thoroughly QA any content published on our live website or other channels.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software localization, QA testing, and linguistic QA, with experience in working with CAT tools and localization platforms. They will also have excellent written and spoken English skills, as well as the ability to clearly explain linguistic challenges and cultural questions and concepts in English to diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Translate, review, and proofread various types of content, including UI application strings for mobile apps, website content, FAQs, and Help center content
  • Create, adapt, and maintain a Language-specific style guide
  • Perform live LQA (Localization QA) testing of the application UI strings and thoroughly QA any content published on our live website or other channels
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality translations and localization

Requirements:

  • BA/BS or equivalent 4-year university degree
  • Translation/Linguistics or Computer Science/Software Engineering or similar fields of study
  • 3 years of experience in software localization (mobile applications, desktop applications) or gaming localization
  • Experience working with CAT tools and localization platforms
  • Excellent written and spoken English skills
