Marathi Language Specialist Job Description

**Overview**

Welocalize is seeking a highly skilled Marathi Language Specialist to join our team. As a Marathi Language Specialist, you will be responsible for translating, reviewing, and proofreading various types of content, including UI application strings for mobile apps, website content, FAQs, and help center content. You will also be responsible for creating, adapting, and maintaining a language-specific style guide and performing live LQA testing of the application UI strings and website content.

**Responsibilities**

* Translate, review, and proofread various types of content, including UI application strings for mobile apps, website content, FAQs, and help center content
* Create, adapt, and maintain a language-specific style guide
* Perform live LQA testing of the application UI strings and website content
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality translations and localization

**Requirements**

* BA/BS or equivalent 4-year university degree in Translation, Linguistics, or Computer Science
* 5+ years of relevant experience in software localization, QA testing, and linguistic QA
* 2+ years of experience with different CAT tools
* Demonstrated knowledge of internationalization and localization standards and best practices
* Experience in writing, copy-writing, or editing in the language of expertise
* Experience with in-depth terminology research, maintenance of linguistic assets, and comparative analysis of competitors' terminology and style

**Preferred Qualifications**

* M.A. in Translation, Linguistics, or similar field of study
* 3 years of experience in software localization (mobile applications, desktop applications) or gaming localization
* Proven record of high-quality translation in the target language, preferably for software applications and ability to translate simple UI strings, as well as marketing
