Director of Sports

The Director–Sports will lead the development and implementation of sports programs, physical education, and wellness initiatives across the institution.

  • Sports Program Development:
    • Develop a comprehensive vision for the sports department.
    • Establish strategies to achieve set objectives.
  • Sports Facilities Management:
    • Manage sports facilities, gymnasiums, and grounds, ensuring proper maintenance and utilization.
  • Athlete Recruitment and Mentorship:
    • Identify and recruit talented athletes to represent the institution at various levels.
    • Provide guidance and mentorship to ensure athlete success.
  • Culture Promotion:
    • Collaborate with coaches, trainers, and faculty to promote a culture of fitness and sportsmanship.
  • Staff Supervision:
    • Supervise and evaluate the performance of sports coaches and staff.
  • Health and Wellness Initiatives:
    • Organize workshops, seminars, and awareness campaigns on health, fitness, and sports.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Academic Qualification:
    • Ph.D. Physical Education or related field.
  • Professional Experience:
    • Minimum 15 years of experience in sports administration, coaching, or sports management.
  • Leadership and Organizational Skills:
    • Proven track record of managing large-scale sports events and teams.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills:
    • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge and Skills:
    • Knowledge of modern training methods and sports technology.
  • Representative Experience:
    • Record of having represented the university/college at inter-university / inter-collegiate competitions or the State and/or National championships.
