  • Use trend analysis to identify, detail, categorize, prioritize, and create problem management records.
  • Restore databases from backups as necessary.
  • Collaborate with the L2 team to resolve critical issues.
  • Handle database performance issues proactively.
  • Manage major incidents end-to-end and communicate effectively with customers regarding production issues.
  • Create job schedules for routine maintenance tasks and rebuild indexes as needed.
  • Purge database logs and trace files regularly and manage performance.
  • Defragment databases and perform performance tuning.
  • Manage service requests through change management processes.
  • Automate administrative tasks where feasible.
  • Maintain and update database environment documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with SQL patching and hardening standards.
  • Guarantee database server availability for business applications.
