Job Title: Database Architecture Specialist",{

The role of Database Architecture Specialist involves working as a key member of our Information Technology team, responsible for the management of production database servers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and maintain production database servers to ensure security, deployment, maintenance, and performance monitoring.
  • Design and implement new installations on cloud hosting platforms such as Azure and AWS.
  • Deploy and maintain on-premise installations of SQL Server on Linux and MySQL.
  • Implement database security measures to protect against SQL injection and exploitation of intellectual property.
  • Collaborate with development teams to assist with data storage and query design optimization.
  • Participate in the design and implementation of essential applications.
  • Contribute expertise and valuable input throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Help design and implement scalable technology solutions.
Required Skills and Experience:
  • Expertise in managing hybrid environments including on-premise and cloud-based systems.
  • Experience with backup and replication processes on both Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • Proficiency in setting up and maintaining databases on various platforms.
  • Experience with database usage and management.
  • Experience in implementing hyperscale database solutions.
  • Familiarity with multi-tier secure application design architecture.
  • Experience in cloud-based technologies preferably Microsoft Azure.
  • Strong understanding of web-based applications and their underlying technologies.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with clients and teams.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience as a database administrator.
  • Experience in financial services or e-commerce industry is preferred.
  • Relevant certifications such as MCTS, MCITP, or MVP are advantageous.
