Job Overview

The Senior Data Engineer is responsible for developing and maintaining large-scale data processing workflows using Azure Databricks, PySpark, and Apache Spark.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement cloud-based data architectures, including data lakes, lakehouses, and warehouses, following a standardized approach.
  • Deploy and optimize data solutions on various cloud platforms with a focus on performance, security, and scalability.
  • Develop and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines for structured and unstructured data from multiple sources, ensuring data consistency and integrity.
  • Automate data workflows using continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) and DevOps best practices, ensuring security and compliance with industry standards.
  • Collaborate with the automation team and data scientists to provide clean, structured data for artificial intelligence and machine learning models.

Requirements:

  • At least 4 years of experience in data engineering
  • Proficiency in Pyspark, Databricks, SQL, and Azure/AWS/GCP
  • Strong understanding of data architecture and design principles
  • Experience with ETL/ELT pipelines and data preprocessing techniques
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate complex ideas clearly
