Job Description

The role holder drives the strategy and execution of small to medium enterprise (SME) businesses in the region as per targets.

Main Responsibilities
  • Strategic Planning: Develops strategic plans aligned with divisional objectives.
  • Workforce Planning: Supports workforce planning by providing inputs on own department's forecasts.
  • Operational Framework Management: Manages the operating framework, provides guidance, ensures implementation, and reviews work processes for high performance standards and continuous improvement.
Core Responsibilities
  • Drives the strategy and execution of SME businesses in the region as per targets.
  • Prepares yearly business development plans in line with bank strategy for SME clients in the region.
  • Achieves target set in yearly budget for new and existing clients and manages budget and financials related to these targets.
  • Articulates region-specific strategies for product growth and liaisons with Product Development Team.
  • Manages people and teams, including career management, coaching, and mentoring of critical talent.
  • Formulates recruitment and resourcing strategies.
  • Reviews and coordinates quality principles and processes.
  • Sponsors quality standards in management initiatives.
  • Ensures stringent fraud control policies are in place.
  • Minimizes Non-Performing Assets (NPAs) in the region.
People Management Responsibilities
  • Develops a continuous talent pipeline for key roles and mentors high-potential talent.
  • Monitors and enables achievement of goals and KPIs for direct reports and implements performance management processes.
  • Develops talent within the department through guidance, feedback, coaching, and development opportunities.
Risk and Internal Control Responsibilities
  • Governs risk-related policies and processes for the department, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Reviews internal control systems and takes corrective action based on audit findings.
Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have strong skills in strategic planning, workforce planning, operational framework management, and risk management. They should also possess excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
