Iron Ore Procurement Manager

We are seeking a seasoned professional to oversee our iron ore purchasing operations.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Procure high-quality iron ore from various suppliers.
  • Negotiate favorable pricing, quality, and delivery terms with vendors.
  • Coordinate logistics, including rake allotment, port operations, warehousing, and shipping.
  • Maintain strong relationships with vendors and ensure timely deliveries.
  • Monitor global and domestic market trends to inform pricing and strategy.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, including MMDR Act, DGFT policies, and Goan mining regulations.
  • Manage documentation, including LCs, Bank Guarantees, contracts, and customs paperwork.
  • Prepare MIS reports and provide management with timely updates on trade performance.

Requirements:

  • Graduate degree in any field.
  • 5–10 years of experience in iron ore trading and procurement.
  • Deep understanding of iron ore grades, lumps, fines, and pellets.
  • Familiarity with mining operations, beneficiation, and logistics.
  • Knowledge of Goan mining regulations and clearances.
