Financial Operations Manager

The successful candidate will be accountable for overseeing the organization's financial operations, encompassing:

  • Preparing periodic financial reports to stakeholders.
  • Maintaining an adequate system of accounting records in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Designing and implementing a comprehensive set of controls and budgets to mitigate risk and ensure financial stability.

This role requires strong analytical and decision-making skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. The ideal candidate will have experience in financial management, with a focus on accuracy and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cash Management:
    • Paying accounts payable in a timely manner to optimize cash flow.
    • Taking all reasonable discounts on accounts payable to minimize costs.
    • Collecting accounts receivable promptly to enhance liquidity.
  • Payroll:
    • Processing payroll in a timely manner to meet statutory deadlines.
  • Accounting:
    • Maintaining the chart of accounts to ensure accurate financial reporting.
    • Maintaining an orderly accounting filing system to facilitate audit readiness.
    • Maintaining a system of controls over accounting transactions to prevent errors and misstatements.
  • Reporting:
    • Issuing timely and complete financial statements to stakeholders.
    • Coordinating the preparation of the corporate annual report to comply with regulatory requirements.
  • Compliance:
    • Monitoring debt levels and compliance with debt covenants to minimize risk.
    • Complying with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
