Pension System Analyst Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Pension System Analyst to join our team. As a key member of the Strategic Relationship P&L team, you will be responsible for the ongoing delivery of our core pension platform.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with complex Defined Benefit pension schemes and develop a professional approach to delivery of tasks.

You will analyze changes and enhancements to clients' pensions schemes, taking a view of their impact on the core platform and delivering solutions to our strategic client.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze requirements from user specifications or benefit details.
  • Agree scope of work and provide accurate estimates for the task.
  • Configure, test, implement and maintain pension benefit calculations, ranging from simple to complex.
  • Develop a commercially aware approach to delivery of tasks.
  • Assess changes and enhancements to clients' pensions schemes, identifying their impact on the core platform.
Requirements:
  • Relevant experience in actuarial and/or pension calculations.
  • A good understanding of UK pensions arrangements would be beneficial but not essential as training will be provided.
  • Technical/software development aptitude & ability.
  • Configuration and/or testing of calculations in respect of UK pension administration platforms and systems, desirable or related area within calcs platform development, configuration or testing.
  • Data schema models understanding.
  • PL/SQL script knowledge in SQL or Oracle environment.
  • Calculation solution building using MS Excel and ASPOSE integration into consuming applications.
  • Qualifications in financial services or IT environment.
  • Pensions industry experience as Scheme Administrator or Business Analyst capturing requirements for Pensions IT Projects.
  • Demonstrable software development capability.
  • Commercial awareness & operational efficiencies/income generation.
