Job Opportunity: Technical Project Manager

Key Responsibilities:

  • Domain Expertise in Insurance Industry
  • Lead a team of testers to develop and implement comprehensive test strategies for General Insurance/Life Insurance systems and applications.
  • Manage testing resources, including testers, testing environments, and tools, to meet project objectives and deadlines.
  • Develop detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts to validate the functionality, performance, and reliability of life insurance applications.
  • Establish defect management processes and tools to track, prioritize, and manage defects throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Ensure adherence to quality assurance standards and best practices throughout the testing lifecycle.
  • Communicate testing progress, issues, and risks to project stakeholders, providing regular status updates and recommendations for improvement.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the testing team, identifying opportunities for automation, process optimization, and efficiency gains.

Requirements:

  • 20+ years of experience in software testing, with specific experience in the Insurance domain.
  • Proven experience in test management roles, with a track record of successfully leading testing efforts for complex software projects.
  • Strong understanding of life insurance products, processes, underwriting principles, and regulatory requirements.
  • Preferred exposure in Life Insurance/Health Insurance/Motor Insurance/Travel Insurance/Property and Casualty.
  • Knowledge of writing SQL queries, databases, and running basic SQL queries.
  • Experience with Test Management tools like Quality Center and Defect Management tools like JIRA, Bugzilla.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Certification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB Advanced/PMP) is desired.
