Database Performance Optimization Specialist

The primary responsibilities of the Database Administrator include supporting database operations, including performance monitoring, query optimization, code deployments, access management, and database analysis. This role requires strong technical and communication skills to convey findings and recommendations to large groups.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support ongoing efforts to optimize database performance on Exadata platforms.
  • Review and implement data loading scripts related to Golden Gate data replication, ensuring efficient data movement and processing.
  • Optimize and tune SQL queries and indexes in Oracle databases for improved performance.
  • Collaborate with data architects, analysts, and database owners to support short-term work requests and long-term strategy implementation.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in logical and physical DBA, including experience with Oracle Exadata.
  • Extensive knowledge of database data movement and processing, including Golden Gate and Informatica ETL.
  • Familiarity with JIRA workflow processes and agile methodologies.
  • Working experience with TOAD or Oracle SQL Developer.
  • Excellent Communication and Self-Motivation skills.
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment.
