Lead Oracle Database Administrator

We are seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator to lead our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Grid Installation and Upgradation, as well as experience with Oracle RAC, Performance Tuning, Dataguard, and Golden Gate.

  • Key Responsibilities
  • Expert level understanding of Oracle database architecture is essential for success in this role.
  • The ability to work collaboratively with various teams to resolve performance issues (development, storage administrators, network administrators, system administrators, and business users) is critical.
  • Specialized knowledge of Oracle RAC, with a good understanding of the complexity of RAC Architecture across Servers, OS, network, and storage layer, is required.
  • Experience working on Oracle Engineered systems, including Exadata, SSC box, and ExaCM, is highly valued.
  • Proficiency in SQL tuning and experience in refactoring SQL queries to improve performance are must-haves.
  • The ability to diagnose performance issues from SQL to Application to Database to System to Storage is crucial.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to traverse across infrastructure layers to diagnose issues, are necessary.
  • Expertise in HA features of Oracle database is a requirement.
  • A complete understanding of Oracle database's backup recovery options is essential.
  • The ability to work under pressure in production environments on databases running on all flavours of OS is vital.

Qualifications

Experience: 18+ Years

Domain Experience: Prior working experience in Telecom or BFSI companies is preferred.
