Procurement Specialist Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to oversee the acquisition of raw materials for our production processes. This role involves developing and implementing procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships, ensuring cost-effectiveness, and maintaining quality and timely delivery of raw materials.

This position requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent negotiation and communication skills. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field and at least 5 years of experience in procurement.

The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing purchase requisitions, preparing comparative quote sheets, negotiating best prices, and issuing purchase orders. They will also develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure cost-effectiveness and efficiency, analyze market trends, and identify potential risks and opportunities in the raw materials market.

In addition, the Procurement Specialist will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and selecting suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery capabilities. They will build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiate favorable terms and conditions, and monitor supplier performance.

The selected candidate will work closely with the Inventory Management team to ensure optimal stock levels of raw materials and implement inventory control measures to minimize wastage and reduce excess stock. They will also ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and company policies, and identify potential risks in the procurement process.
