Product Development Specialist

Key Role:

  • Develop and implement a safety culture through standardized methodologies to minimize risks.
  • Implement customer-specific product requirements across production lines for high-performance materials.
  • Plan trial material volumes for complex automotive projects.
  • Coordinate and monitor product trials at various production sites.
  • Define metallurgical routes for high-performance products from raw materials to finished goods.
  • Verify trial results from raw materials to finished goods (process parameters and product properties) and submit to customers.
  • Manage approval samples, prepare samples, track internal progress, and follow up with customers post dispatch.
  • Validate homologation processes and new product validation protocols.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and expansions for process lines.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for trial material design and process parameter mapping.
  • Communicate with operations and supply chain teams for trials.
  • Verify trial protocols and define product and process control plans.
  • Prepare APQP documents and witness various trials at multiple processes.

Required Expertise:

  • Good understanding of continuous galvanizing and cold rolling processes.
  • Knowledge of critical process parameters for high-performance products and their impact on product quality and mechanical properties.
  • In-depth knowledge of product stabilization techniques for high-performance materials.
  • Basic knowledge of customer-specific requirements for various automotive OEMs regarding product characteristics.
  • In-depth knowledge of product approval and homologation processes for various automotive OEMs.
  • Understanding of various automotive grades, chemical elements, and their end applications, as well as the impact of properties and process parameters during product end applications.
  • In-depth knowledge of quality management system processes and product audits related to certifications like ISO 9001 and IATF 16949.
  • Preferred systems knowledge: product and process simulation software, SAP (QM/PP module), Tableau, Power BI, Mini Tab, analytical and statistical process control software, Manufacturing Execution System, and familiarity with MS software, especially advanced Excel and PowerPoint.
