Job Overview

About this role: We are seeking a seasoned performance engineer to join our team. In this key position, you will be responsible for designing and implementing performance benchmarks, collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance system performance and scalability, and leveraging profiling tools to identify bottlenecks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and apply performance/scalability benchmarks to ensure optimal system efficiency.
  • Collaborate with development engineers and functional analysts to characterize, debug, and improve system performance and scalability.
  • Utilize profiling tools to identify performance bottlenecks and conduct root cause analysis.
  • Design and execute experiments to evaluate the performance impacts of system changes.
  • Plan and execute performance tests using automated environments, analyze results, and provide actionable insights.
  • Participate in architecture and design reviews to ensure quality in cross-team engineering efforts.
Requirements
  • Strong experience in performance testing of SAP applications.
  • Proficiency in programming languages (Python, Perl, ABAP, Java, C++).
  • Experience with performance testing tools (LoadRunner, JMeter, SoapUI, Postman).
  • Knowledge of service-oriented architecture, RESTful APIs, and performance-tuning SQL queries.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with JVM tuning techniques.
  • Experience with performance monitoring tools (Dynatrace, AppDynamics).
  • Ability to efficiently use profiling tools to identify bottlenecks.
  • Experience with Agile or Scrum software development methodologies.
  • Experience with Cloud platforms (AWS, GCP).
