Internal Control Specialist Role

This job opportunity is seeking an experienced Internal Control Specialist to lead and implement effective internal controls, assess current processes, and suggest improvements where necessary.

  • Evaluate the effectiveness of current internal controls and propose enhancements for optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement controls and process enhancements, ensuring seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.
  • Identify and mitigate business and financial risks through robust control implementation and monitoring, protecting organizational assets and reputation.
  • Lead internal control improvement projects and controls testing as per business requirements, driving efficiency and compliance.
  • Manage access rights in SAP, review conflicts, and recommend mitigations, maintaining a secure and controlled environment.
  • Provide guidance to employees on best internal control practices and clarify concerns related to company rules and regulations, fostering a culture of accountability and integrity.
  • Oversee delegation of authorities and maintain accurate records, ensuring transparent decision-making and responsibility.
  • Assist in other activities of the function as required, demonstrating adaptability and a willingness to support the team's goals.

Required Experience:

  • Candidates must have 5-8 years of experience in Internal Audit & Control, with a strong background in risk assessment and mitigation.
  • Familiarity with the manufacturing industry and its unique risks, controls, and processes is highly desirable.
  • The ability to perform data analysis, identify trends, correlations, and exceptions, and work with large datasets is essential for this role.
  • Mastery of SAP and proficiency in using various IT tools for audit purposes is required.
