**Agricultural Commodities Specialist**

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Agricultural Commodities Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our commodities trading department, you will be responsible for monitoring domestic and international markets for price trends and supply-demand dynamics.

You will execute buy/sell trades in physical or derivatives markets, creating and analyzing spread/arbitrage opportunities. You will also develop relationships with farmers, brokers, processors, exporters, importers, and institutional clients, negotiating contracts and prices for the procurement and sale of commodities.

Your analysis of weather patterns, crop reports, government policies, and global trade data will inform your trading strategies. You will manage logistics, warehousing, and delivery schedules in coordination with supply chain partners, mitigating risk using hedging strategies.

You will ensure compliance with trade regulations, quality standards, and documentation. Your ability to maintain accurate trading books, daily position reports, and profitability tracking is crucial. Additionally, you will provide inputs to procurement teams on price outlook and procurement planning.

This role requires a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Economics, Business, or a related field (MBA/PGDM preferred). In-depth knowledge of agricultural markets and commodities is essential. Understanding of trading platforms and exchanges is also necessary. Proficiency in data analysis, market intelligence tools, and Excel is required.

Excellent negotiation, communication, and networking skills are essential for success in this role. Ability to thrive in high-pressure trading environments and make quick decisions is critical. Knowledge of warehousing, logistics, and Agri-supply chain is a plus.
