Job Title: Automotive Design Specialist
Description:
We are seeking an experienced Design Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our design department, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative steering systems that meet the highest standards of quality and performance.
- Develop designs for Steering Systems, including steering mechanisms and aggregates, with a focus on safety, efficiency, and reliability.
- Analyse vehicle architecture and layout to ensure optimal system integration.
- Create detailed designs for different steering systems, such as rack and pinion, centre-take off, and bell crank, taking into account performance and durability aspects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement design solutions that meet project requirements.
- Select materials and components that meet quality and cost targets.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proficiency in CAD software, particularly Unigraphics, with experience in Modelling and Assembly modules.
- Familiarity with GD&T principles and process capabilities.
- Knowledge of relevant design standards, including IS, JIS, JASO, DIN, and ISO.
- Understanding of DFMEA and its application in design validation.
- Experience with metrology and basic measurements.
