Content Writer Job Description

We are currently hiring for a Content Writer at a reputable institution. The incumbent will be responsible for creating engaging content for various platforms.

The ideal candidate will have excellent writing skills, strong command of grammar and punctuation, and knowledge of SEO principles. They should also be familiar with writing meta-titles and descriptions.

  • Develop compelling thought-leadership content for senior leaders
  • Generate content ideas/themes/topics in alignment with the organization's presence
  • Create and manage social media calendars effectively
  • Write content for social media posts, product/service descriptions, website copy, and campaign copy
  • Analyze content marketing strategies of competitors/ relevant third-party websites and pitch suitable article ideas

The successful candidate will possess substantial technical and leadership experience, ability to take initiative and work aggressively, extend support in maintaining external relations and corporate engagements, and possess excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic - Support in the execution of marketing department strategies
  • Operational
  • Develop content for social media posts, product/service descriptions, website copy, and campaign copy
  • Generate content ideas/themes/topics in alignment with the organization's presence
  • Manage social media calendars effectively

Person Specification:

  • Substantial Technical and Leadership experience
  • Ability to get the work done by taking initiative and a reasonable aggressive approach
  • Excellent Writing, Spelling, and understanding of grammar are essential to the role
  • The ability to write in various formats and styles for multiple audiences
  • Accurate content will be produced under tight deadlines

A bachelor's degree in any domain is required along with 3-4 years of experience in the desired domain (education sector). Applicants should have a flair for writing and impeccable English writing skills.
