Job Summary :
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in the Pharmaceutical/Life Sciences industry to lead cross-functional teams across various geographic locations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Project Management, with a strong background in Data & Analytics, have good knowledge of GxP (Good x Practice), GPS (Global Patient Safety), and Pharmacovigilance. This role requires a strategic thinker who can manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery while adhering to regulatory compliance and maintaining high-quality standards.
The project manager will be working as part of the client group that provides all-round analytics solutions for Pharmacovigilance and GPS. The candidate will primarily be managing multiple analytics projects with a team of India-based technical resources building analytics solutions & implementation and a Computer Systems Validation team working in the US East Coast. The CSV team is self-sufficient with their own leadership, and one part of the CSV team does technical development work from India and CSV from the US. The management of the India team is one among the PM's responsibilities and will be responsible for working with diverse groups such as CSV and developing an Integrated Project Plan based on the Project Plans developed by these groups.
In addition to the above, the PM will also double up as a Business Analyst, and so some Business Analysis experience would be needed.
Key Responsibilities :
Project Management :
1. Lead and manage multiple projects within the pharmaceutical domain, ensuring that objectives are met on time and within scope.
2. Coordinate with cross-functional teams, Regulatory, Quality, Clinical, and Commercial, across various geographic locations.
3. Be responsible for all project deliveries happening from Offshore
4. Ensure On-Time Quality delivery.
5. Develop and maintain project timelines, resource allocation, risk management, and deliverables tracking.
6. Integrate Project Plans to form one overarching Project Plan.
7. Manage and guide India-based resources.
Cross-Functional Collaboration :
1. Facilitate communication and collaboration between different divisions to ensure alignment with project goals and regulatory requirements.
2. Manage project stakeholders, including internal teams and external partners, ensuring consistent progress updates and addressing any issues that arise.
3. Lead regular project meetings and ensure proper documentation of decisions, actions, and outcomes.
Analytics & Reporting :
1. Utilize data and analytics to monitor project performance, track key metrics, and identify areas for improvement.
2. Prepare detailed project reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting progress, risks, and any corrective actions.
Regulatory & Compliance (GxP) :
1. Manage project documentation, ensuring adherence to regulatory guidelines and maintaining a high level of quality control.
2. Familiarity with GxP, GPS, and regulatory requirements in the pharmaceutical sector.
Pharmacovigilance Support :
1. Good understanding of Pharmacovigilance.
2. Provide project management support for pharmacovigilance activities, including safety monitoring and risk management.
3. Collaborate with pharmacovigilance teams to ensure compliance with GPS and regulatory safety standards.
Risk Management :
1. Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, ensuring that all potential obstacles are addressed proactively.
2. Develop contingency plans to address project challenges and ensure timely resolution of issues.
Budget & Resource Management :
1. Manage project budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources and adherence to financial constraints.
2. Collaborate with finance teams to monitor project expenses and forecast future resource needs.
Skills :
1. Strong Project Management experience and proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Not limited to but with MS Project, Smartsheet, etc.) and analytics platforms.
2. Track record of having managed Data & Analytics projects in a Pharma/Lifesciences setting.
3. Good knowledge of Business Analysis.
4. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage customers and diverse teams. Strong customer-faced skills recommended.
5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
6. Self-organized, exceptional communication and presentation skills.
7. Strong skills in facilitating high-level client/team meetings.
8. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with tight deadlines.
Preferred :
1. Experience with global pharmaceutical projects
2. Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2)
