Key Roles and Responsibilities:

The Software Engineer III will provide technical leadership in the architecture, design, and implementation of innovative software solutions that deliver excellent business value to our customers.

This role requires deep technology expertise, advanced analysis skills, and a proven ability to work collaboratively with product and business development teams on product and solutions technical strategy in a communications setting.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Lead in defining application architecture for new and innovative software solutions in an agile environment.
  • Contribute towards creating high-level design documents, technical descriptions, and architectural diagrams.
  • Collaborate with agile teams to design and develop secure, scalable, low latency, high throughput solutions.
  • Participate in code reviews, quality reviews, and continuously seek improvement opportunities.
  • Support customer-facing teams in identifying, pursuing, and closing strategic business development opportunities.
  • Participate in root cause analysis on customer issues along with agile teams and provide solutions.
  • Drive add-on business within existing projects/products by envisioning technical strategy for products in the portfolio.
  • Help define and refine existing corporate architectural standards and guidelines.
  • Stay aligned with corporate standards through participation in architecture group meetings and activities.
  • Identify and execute improvements and simplification opportunities within business systems.
  • Effectively communicate with various levels of the organization.
Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in software development.
  • Demonstrated capability to lead consensus on complex proposals within engineering groups and other teams.
  • Ability to work with senior product management on strategic initiatives with architectural aspects.
  • Proficiency in data structures, algorithms, multi-threading, object-oriented programming, and design patterns.
  • Deep knowledge of Java, JSON, RESTful Web APIs, JavaScript, Webservices, and Linux environment.
  • Working knowledge of Java open-source frameworks such as Spring and Hibernate.
  • Experience with relational databases, data storage, and principles.
  • Experience building robust, resilient software capable of delivering high performance under heavy load.
  • Exceptional analytical and communication skills.
