
Front Desk Representative

The Hotel Front Office Associate is responsible for providing exceptional guest service and ensuring seamless check-in, check-out, and room assignment processes. This role requires a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process all guest check-ins, check-outs, room assignments, and room change/late check-out requests in a timely and efficient manner.
- Secure payment and activate/reissue room keys as necessary.
- Verify and adjust billing for guests to ensure accuracy and fairness.
- Communicate with the front desk staff to ensure guest satisfaction and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Clear departures in the computer system and update room status accordingly.
- Coordinate with Housekeeping to track room status and guest concerns.
- File guest paperwork or documentation accurately and efficiently.
- Operate the telephone switchboard station and answer guest calls, questions, and concerns in a professional manner.
- Run and check daily reports, contingency lists, and credit card authorization reports to identify any discrepancies or issues.
- Supply guests with directions and information about hotel amenities and services.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- No related work experience necessary, but prior customer service experience is preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Accuracy and attention to detail are essential for this role.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in hospitality or a related field is highly desirable.
- Previous experience in a front office or customer service role is an asset.
