Design Engineer Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Design Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing roof rail systems for passenger vehicles.

  • Job Responsibilities:
  • Develop and design roof rail systems for hatchback, SUV, and passenger vehicle programs.
  • Evaluate the feasibility of designs considering structural strength, safety, styling, and manufacturing constraints.
  • Maintain packaging awareness and interface with adjacent systems (roof, body side, sealing, trim).
  • Prepare and review 3D/2D design documentation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (styling, BIW, trim, manufacturing).

Requirements:

  • 4-8 years of experience working on roof rails in aluminum, steel, or hybrid materials using CATIA V5.
  • Strong understanding of structural strength, safety, and manufacturing constraints.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
