Job Summary

We are seeking an accomplished Risk Model Development Leader to join our organization. This individual will be responsible for leading the development of wholesale risk models, collaborating with senior management and board-level committees, and ensuring effective governance and audit readiness.

Job Description

The successful candidate will establish and scale a new Centre of Excellence (CoE) for Wholesale Rating Models from the ground up, providing thought leadership and contributing to the development of best practices in model development and validation. They will also track latest regulatory and industry updates, translate them into model design considerations, and independently research and develop innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement end-to-end processes for development, validation, and lifecycle management of wholesale rating models.
  • Develop and validate a range of models, including corporate/wholesale rating models, project finance, and specialized lending.
  • Explore new approaches for rating model development for low default portfolios.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, the ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in statistics and mathematics, with hands-on experience in developing and validating wholesale rating models. They will also possess strong programming languages skills, such as R and Python, and proficiency in data analysis and visualization using Excel and PowerPoint.

Additional requirements include:

  • A degree in statistics, mathematics, computer science, quantitative finance, economics, or a related field.
  • Passionate about risk management and advancing the science of credit risk modeling.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken, with fluency in English.
