Job Description:

The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for identifying and evaluating reliable suppliers for EV components and raw materials. This role ensures timely procurement to support production schedules and service requirements.

Key Responsibilities include:

  1. Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable suppliers for EV components and raw materials.
  2. Negotiate prices, contracts, and terms with vendors to achieve cost savings.
  3. Ensure timely procurement to support production schedules and service requirements.
  4. Develop and maintain long-term relationships with suppliers.
  5. Monitor vendor performance (quality, delivery timelines, compliance).
  6. Conduct regular audits of vendor facilities as per company and industry standards.
  7. Work closely with production, R&D, and service teams to forecast material requirements.
  8. Maintain optimum stock levels to avoid shortages or excess inventory.
  9. Coordinate logistics for timely deliveries from domestic and international suppliers.
  10. Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  11. Prepare purchase orders, contracts, and maintain accurate procurement records.
  12. Handle import/export documentation for EV parts and equipment.

Required Skills and Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or MBA.
  • 2–5 years in procurement, preferably in automobile or electric vehicle industry.
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
  • Knowledge of EV components (battery, motor, controller, charger, etc.) is preferred.
  • Advance proficiency in MS-Excel.
  • Good analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
